50 Years Old Tawny Port is an exceptional wine resulting from a blend of Ports that have aged in 550 litre casks over many years in the fresh warehouse of Quinta da Pacheca. During aging, the wine transforms its red colour into various shades of amber, brownish, with greenish hints when the wine is very old. The sugar concentration increases and the acidity due to esterification phenomena and also gives origin to an acidity that we call vinagrinho. In the mouth there is a very fresh complexity, toffee, caramel, dried fruits with the persistence that only a very old wine achieves.
